EU Engineroom focuses on identifying and evaluating the key enabling technologies and topics that will underpin an European Commission programme: the Next Generation Internet. Project’s ambition is to steer innovation process towards more ethic, human-centered Internet. Important side objective is to prepare the methodology in such a way, that it could be used in other similar projects.
DELab UW is responsible for preparation of a research methodology, based on Big Data analysis and web-scraping (network data source download), allowing to capture first signals of new technologies emerging, and delivering tools necessary to evaluate whether a given technology will positively influence Internet further development in desired direction.
Project’s consortium consists of NESTA (UK) – project coordinator, EURECAT – technological center in Catalonia and DELab UW.
