In the next episode of the podcast, we delve into the issue of sustainable transport. According to the European Automobile Manufacturers» Association, there are 747 cars per thousand inhabitants in Poland, which puts us in second place in Europe! What should be done to make the inhabitants value safe, efficient and ecological transport more than having their own car? The CoMobility project, innovative at Warsaw University, is the answer to these challenges.
Dr. Anna Nicińska, the manager and principal investigator of the CoMobility project and a DELab UW analyst, talks about the assumptions of the project and the innovative actions faced by the research team, answering Dr. Justyna Pokojska’s questions about:
- the source of the idea to study everyday habits related to moving around the city and what interesting things can come out of this study,
- how the researchers got the idea to address the problem,
- the tasks and challenges set by the project,
- institutional constraints and opportunities on the road to sustainable transport,
- benchmarks in other countries,
- the applied nature of the project and the intended outcomes and beneficiaries of the project,
- the innovative and experimental elements of the project
