The Masovian Branch of the Polish Information Processing Society and DELab UW invite you to the May Informatics Club devoted to transhumanist law.
We will be considering legal aspects related to autonomous robots and artificial intelligence, as well as issues of human brain emulation. One of the main aspects of transhumanism is the merging of humans with machines, both in physical, biological matter, as well as the legal subjectivity of robots and manifestations of artificial intelligence. The introductory lecture to the topic will be given by Kamil Muzyka, a transhumanist activist and PhD student in law. The lecture will cover academic concepts and models, as well as the legal positioning of autonomous robots, telepresence, artificial intelligence systems, and hypothetical brain emulation. These issues will be presented in the context of Polish and American law, in the field of civil law, criminal law, industrial property, and legal theory. The club will be held on May 17, 2016 at 18:30 p.m., at BUW, ul. Dobra 56/66, room 254, XNUMXnd floor (elevator at the main entrance to the library). Admission to the meeting is free, but for logistical reasons we kindly ask everyone who wants to take part to confirm their willingness to participate by e-mailing omaz(at)poczta.pl.
