The first workshop in Poland: "CLARIN-PL in research practice. Digital tools for language analysis in the work of humanities scholars and translators" organized by the Digital Humanities Center of the Institute of Literary Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
The workshop concerns the practical use of digital tools for quantitative language analysis by researchers from the humanities and social sciences and translators. It will be held on 13-15 April 2015 (Monday-Wednesday) in Warsaw, in room 144 in the Staszic Palace. The series of lectures and practical classes will be led by members of CLARIN-PL – academics from the Wrocław University of Science and Technology, the University of Łódź, the Pedagogical University of Kraków and the Institute of Computer Science of the Polish Academy of Sciences. CLARIN-PL is a Polish scientific consortium, which is part of the pan-European research infrastructure CLARIN (Common Language Resources & Technology Infrastructure), providing language resources and electronic tools for automatic language processing, which can be used in research based on the collection and analysis of large amounts of textual source materials.
