Dr. Maciej Sobolewski a member of the Council for Digital Affairs

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Maciej Sobolewski, Coordinator of DELab UW, has been elected by Minister Anna Streżyńska as a member of the Council for Digital Affairs.
The Council is a think-tank whose members support the Ministry of Digital Affairs and the Council of Ministers Committee for Digital Affairs with their knowledge and experience. The Council cooperates in areas such as: digital integration, protection of privacy on the Internet, elimination of barriers to the development of the electronic economy and reform of intellectual property law on the Internet. The Council also issues opinions on strategic documents (PZIP, development strategies and programs), as well as other documents related to digitalization, connectivity and the development of the information society. The Council consists of 19 members from each of the following stakeholder groups: public administration entrepreneurs from industries related to the Internet and digitalization non-governmental organizations dealing with the issues of networks of universities and scientific units technical experts In the activities of the Council, teamwork and good relations with a wide range of stakeholders are most important. Some meetings of the Council are open to observers and may be attended by interested external entities. Council meetings are held in accordance with the "Chatham House" principles. Participants present their views regardless of the position of the institution in which they work. In reports from closed meetings, the positions they disclosed may only be used without specifying the identity or affiliation of the discussion participants. Dr. Sobolewski’s knowledge, including in the field of ICT sector economics, will certainly be a valuable contribution to the work of the Council.
