Prestigious competition: MIT Innovators Under 35 — now in Poland

At the beginning of 2015, the first edition of MIT Innovators Under 35 in Poland was launched. DELab UW, as a program analyzing digital technologies and their application in society, and therefore also promoting people who use them to create new products and services, became a partner of MIT and this prestigious competition.
Innovators Under 35 aims to create the world's strongest international community of pioneers of social change in the fields of education, medicine, city infrastructure and renewable energy sources. The current group includes people such as Konstantin Novoselov (Nobel Prize winner in physics), Max Levchin (founder of PayPal), David Karp (founder of Tumblr), Sergey Brin (co-founder of Google) and Linus Torvalds (creator of Linux). The program finds individuals who solve complex problems of the modern world in an outstanding way. Through their knowledge and development of technology, they contribute to the creation of a better future - says Jason Pontin, director of MIT Technology Review. Previous editions have already taken place in Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Turkey, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Peru, Colombia, Mexico, Central America and Brazil. This year, they are also starting in Poland and Belgium. Candidates can be entrepreneurs and researchers, authors of pioneering projects in various fields of technology. The nominations are made via the online platform www.mitinnovatorseurope.com, which will be active until 31 March 2015. After the nominations are closed, the candidate profiles will be assessed by a panel of experts. The names of the ten Polish finalists will be published at the beginning of June this year, and their projects will be presented during the final ceremony, which will take place on 11 June in Poland.
