Digital Economy Lab, together with the Enterprise Europe Network office of the University of Warsaw, co-organizes Tech4SmartCities brokerage meetings, organized by Hub.brussels.
The brokerage events focused on sustainable and smart technologies for cities and enabled participants to network in the fields of energy efficiency, urban mobility, sustainable construction, circularity, low-carbon economy and digital transformation. The main topics covered during the brokerage event were: • Smart cities and communities, • ICT for cities, • Smart mobility and logistics, MaaS, • Energy efficiency of buildings and districts, • Renewable energy, energy management and recovery, smart grids and energy system integration, • Circular economy and nature-based solutions for urban districts, • Smart, healthy and safe living. The event also focused on European research and innovation opportunities under the new Horizon Europe programme. In addition to the brokerage events, several parallel activities were organised: Horizon Europe webinar: NCP Brussels hosted a webinar presenting funding opportunities under the new Horizon Europe programme. Topics covered Green Deal priorities such as energy, mobility, green and circular economy solutions, and actions towards more inclusive and safe cities. Tech4SmartCities Pitch 2021: enabled selected entrepreneurs seeking capital to present their innovative technologies and solutions to a panel of potential investors.
