Books
Thanks to the projects in which we participate, we have been able to create an extensive compendium of knowledge about the digital transformation of the economy and society: among other things competencies of the future and changes in the labor market, globalization, and the digital single market. We also publish the results as interactive visualizations.
The culmination of our projects and publications is a book co-written by Prof. Katarzyna Śledziewska and Prof. Renata Włoch „Digital Economy. How new technologies are changing the world” and “The Economics of Digital Transformation. The Disruption of Markets, Production, Consumption, and Work”.

Prof. Katarzyna Śledziewska, Prof. Renata Włoch, Prof. UW
How are digital processes transforming traditional business models? Czy inteligentna automatyzacja zagraża naszym miejscom pracy? Are we approaching the end of globalisation as we know it? How can we best prepare ourselves and our children for life in a digitally transformed world?

The author verifies the hypothesis concerning the possibility of treating algorithms – used in automated decision-making applied in the public sector – as information subject to the right of access to information or the right of access to official documents in European law. She reveals problems with the approach to these rights in the European Union and the lack of compatibility between the case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union and that of the European Court of Human Rights. Keywords: algorithms, automated decision-making, protection of personal data, right of access to information, right of access to public documents
