Projects
Since the founding of DELab, we have completed dozens of scientific and commercial projects. Many of them became the reference of the publication written by Prof. Katarzyna Śledziewska and Prof. Renata Włoch "The Digital Economy. How new technologies are changing the world”.
Although the nature of the projects varies, they are united by the theme of changes in society and the economy related to new technologies.
The subjects of our projects included geoblocking in cross-border trade (a project commissioned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs), analysis of e-identification and e-authorization issues (a study done for the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development) and Industry 4.0 in the automotive industry and Polish manufacturing companies (a project for the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Technology).
On behalf of commercial clients, we have studied the implications of new platforms in the taxi market and changes in the labor market.
One of our largest projects for a local government involved analyzing the platformization of the short-term rental market and the digital transformation of a major pharmaceutical company.
Our projects are characterized by a multi-faceted approach to the issues at hand - in the SharOn project we looked at the sharing economy and the development of smart cities. Digitalization in global processes has no secrets from us, thanks to the Chain React project (Horizon 2020).
At Horizon 2020 Engineroom, we study technology trends - we publish the results of our analysis in the form of easy-to-read visualizations. Together with the Warsaw Banking Institute and the Cyberium Foundation, we are researchingthe automation of work in the financial sector. As part of a project funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, we are analysing the Polish blockchain ecosystem.
We are not afraid of difficult, important and, above all, current topics. During the ongoing pandemic, we examined its impact on Poles' family lives, women's position in the workforce, and the health of the marketing and events industry.
Our projects have resulted in, among others recommendations for authorities and governing entities.
