SOLHOTAIR sp. z o. o., a client of the Enterprise Europe Network – Digital Economy Lab of the University of Warsaw, received the “Green Eagle” award from the chapter of the Rzeczpospolita magazine in the category of modern technologies for ecology.
Below we present the company profile and the technology offered.
SOLHOTAIR is an innovative company in the renewable energy sector that has developed and implemented air-heating solar collectors with the highest efficiency compared to global competition. SOLHOTAIR technology enables efficient heat generation by converting solar energy into thermal energy in solar collectors. How does the SOLHOTAIR air-heating collector work? Cold air entering the collector (mechanically sucked in) is directed to the air ducts. The upper surface of the air ducts is coated with a selective layer that absorbs solar radiation. The air temperature increases along the entire path of the air ducts. The air leaving the device has a temperature higher than the temperature of the incoming air, even up to 43°C on sunny days. One collector with an area of 1,3m² of active surface can produce approx. 2000 kWh of useful heat per year. SOLHOTAIR technology has been tested by the Fraunhofer Institut fur Solare Energiesysteme ISE in Freiburg, which confirmed a spectacular result - 83% efficiency. This is currently the best result in the world. SOLHOTAIR technology is protected by a Polish and European patent. Where can solar heating collectors be used? SOLHOTAIR solar collectors are a cheap, zero-emission, efficient energy source of heat that can be used to heat practically any utility rooms as well as used in technological processes, e.g. drying biomass. Using SOLHOTAIR solar collectors means savings in heat energy costs of between 30 and 40% per year, which in the case of industrial facilities, for example, translates into reduced operating costs of enterprises and real savings. Example: SOLHOAT collectors with an area of 15 m² can produce the heat necessary to heat 120 m² of a room within a year, which replaces about 2000 m³ of gas or over 3 tons of hard coal and reduces low emissions by over 6500 kg of CO² per year. Application in agriculture - solar dryers SOLHOTAIR solar collectors are perfectly used in drying. The SOLHOTAIR solar dryer can dry wood or green waste and various types of biomass at the place of storage of the raw material, e.g. in the commune in the case of green waste or by the grower, at the place and immediately after the biomass harvest. In the season March - October, the basic module
SOLHOATIR dryers can dry approx. 400 m50 of raw material from a moisture content of approx. 20% to the expected XNUMX%. Solar dryers are built in a modular concept and can be easily adapted to the needs of farmers and growers.
