Assistant professor at the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw and analyst at DELab UW. In 2021, she obtained a doctoral degree at the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw (with distinction). Her doctoral thesis concerned the possibility of perceiving programs used for automated decision-making as public information. Scholarship holder of the START program of the Foundation for Polish Science and the Minister of Education and Science. In 2019-2022, she implemented the PRELUDIUM grant of the National Science Center, and from 2025 she has been implementing the OPUS grant.

In 2021, she obtained a doctoral degree at the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw (with distinction). Her doctoral thesis concerned the possibility of perceiving programs used for automated decision-making as public information. The doctoral thesis was published as a book "Algorithm as public information in European law" and is available in open access on the website of the UW Publishing House (https://www.wuw.pl/product-pol-15515-Algorytm-jako-informacja-publiczna-w-prawie-europejskim-EBOOK.html). Scholarship holder of the START program of the Foundation for Polish Science and the Minister of Education and Science. In the years 2019-2022 she implemented the PRELUDIUM grant of the National Science Centre "Automated decision-making and the prohibition of discrimination under European law", and from 2025 she implements the OPUS grant "New legal acts, old problems with the application of the law? Unraveling the complexities related to the application of EU law on digital technologies". She also worked as an executive in numerous projects. Joanna Mazur's research interests include primarily regulations on personal data, algorithms, artificial intelligence and platforms, as well as competition law.
