Support for Industry 4.0 in Poland. Prototype of a tool for assessing the digital maturity of manufacturing companies

Industry 4.0 is a complex process of technological and organizational transformation of enterprises, related to the change of the company's business model and the integration of the value chain in the entire product life cycle. The condition for this transformation is the advanced use of digital technologies and data resources in order to achieve business success and competitive advantage on the market. The use of digital technologies and a change in the company's strategy assume the possibility of profitable personalized production in response to individualized customer needs. The proposal of the tool for assessing digital maturity focuses on defining the basic symptoms of digital maturity in the context of the idea of ​​Industry 4.0.
